004 Living knowledge / durable context

Second Brain

A knowledge base that updates from work instead of waiting for someone to tidy it later.

Second Brain explores how email, artifacts, business data, decisions, notes, and agent outputs can become living context: searchable, source-aware, and useful at the moment of action.

Thesis

A real second brain is not a prettier folder tree. It is knowledge that stays close to the work, knows where it came from, and changes when reality changes.

What is being built

A living knowledge base that receives artifacts from the work itself: emails, statements, screenshots, documents, decisions, summaries, and operational traces. The system turns them into context without pretending every note deserves permanence.

How it stays useful

Every memory needs provenance, scope, and freshness. Second Brain is designed to distinguish a durable fact from a temporary observation, a private artifact from a public note, and a confident conclusion from a clue.

Why it matters

When knowledge updates from real work, agents become less forgetful and humans stop serving as the integration layer. The past becomes available without becoming clutter.
